SQLite connection not appearing in Entity Data Model Wizard (vs2015)

c# entity-framework-6 sqlite

Question

In what I did,

1) Made a project in Visual Studio 2015 (.Net Framework 4.6) 2) I put System.Data.SQLite into my computer. Actually, System.Data.SQLite(1.0.105.1), System.Data.SQLite(1.0.105.1), System.Data.SQLite(1.0.105.1), System.Data.SQLite(1.0.105.1), System.Data.SQLite(1.0.105.1), System.Data.SQLite(Linq), and EntityFramework(6.0.0) were installed 3) Nuget has updated EntityFramework to version 6.1.3. 4) Made an attempt to build an entity data model using a local sqlite database. 5) Completely rebuilt the solution

On the other hand, SQLite connection did not show up in the data source when I attempted to make a new database connection.

Can somebody solve this problem?

Accepted Answer

According to my understanding, SQLite's nuget packages do not contain designer support; instead, you must install the package that corresponds to the version of Visual Studio you are using.

According to the Downloads for System.Data.SQLite page, the Windows 32-bit setups (.NET Framework 4.6) sqlite-netFx46-setup-bundle-x86-2015-1.0.105.1.exe (16.93 MiB) is the sole package presently offering designer support in VS 2015, and its description reads as follows:

This is the only setup package that is capable of installing the design-time components for Visual Studio 2015.
