How can I update the ADO.NET Entity Data Model quickly?

ado.net c# entity-framework sql

Question

In my C# project, I'm utilizing the ADO.NET Entity Data Model. In my project, the database generates an ADO.NET Entity Data Model. How can I instantly update the ADO.NET Entity Data Model to reflect database changes? I've been getting fresh models by first removing the old one. I think there is a quicker and easier method.

A dialog box will appear when you right-click the model designer and choose "Update Model from Database". Your model will be updated when you click OK.

Just so you know, I'm using EF 4.0 and skipped the previous iteration, so I can't speak to how it is in Visual Studio 2008.

Update just doesn't function well in many situations, therefore I always Ctrl-A (to select everything), hit delete, and then construct the model from fresh using the database. I am developing in/with EF4 and VS2010, at the very least.
