Cannot connect to Sql Server from Visual Studio (in the process of creating a new Entity Data Model): login failed for user 'sa'

database-connection entity-framework-6 sql-server-2016 visual-studio-2017

Question

I am aware that there are other queries like mine, but mine is unique.

Microsoft Visual Studio (2017) when I attempt to establish a database connection for myEntity Data Model

The attempt to attach to the database failed with the following information: Login failed for user 'sa'.

enter image description here

What I've checked thus far:

1) Thesa user's password is different from what I have supplied (has not run out or is not unique).

2) Thesa either by denying access to the database engine or by disabling the login for user is not handicapped.

3) My experience withSQL Server 2016 (Developer Edition) for is establishedSQL authentication .

4) SQL Server is operational. and I can access it viaSQL Server Management Studio (v17.1) via sa and Windows Authentication and also

What the issue may be?

UPDATE:

When attempting to make a database connection, addingADO.NET Entity Data Model -> EF Designer from database -> New Connection -> Microsoft SQL Server Database File (The SchoolDB.mdf wasn't connected to SQL Server; maybe this is where the issue started.)
