Entity Data Model in Ado.Net Isn't Updating Correctly

entity-framework

Question

I took the following actions: Start Visual Studio.
- Add a new item
- Select "ADO.Net Entity Data Model"
- Direct it to a current database
- Accept all default settings.
- Next, a "Model1.edmx" file and its associated "Model1.Designer.cs" file are added to my solution.

However, I get the following error in the output:
Because of the following exception: "Value does not fall within the anticipated range," the model could not be generated.

Since I've already built a model using this database, I don't believe the problem is the consequence of a complicated table design, which it is not.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Thanks

Popular Answer

I ran across a similar issue. The cause was rather straightforward. One of my tables lacks a primary key since I neglected to establish one. Hope it's useful.
